NEW TV AD: North Carolinians Condemn Congressman Holding For Voting To Gut The Affordable Care Act
NEW TV AD: NORTH CAROLINIANS CONDEMN CONGRESSMAN HOLDING FOR VOTING TO GUT THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT
Six-Figure Ad Campaign Asks Congressman Holding, “Do Any of Us Matter?”
Raleigh, NC – In response to the complete sabotage of health care protections in North Carolina – including proposed exclusions for preexisting conditions and rising health care premiums – North Carolinians For a Fair Economy today launched an advertising campaign highlighting Congressman George Holding’s support of these policies and their negative impact on his constituents.
George Holding and his GOP allies may have failed to repeal the ACA, but they are systematically demolishing its ability to protect working families. The ad comes as new polling shows that 66 percent of voters view protecting those with pre-existing conditions as a critical issue in 2018.
The 30-second spot, “Portraits” calls on Congressman Holding to stop his efforts to sabotage the health care system that so many working families in North Carolina Congressional District 2 rely upon. Congressman Holding has once again put billionaires, millionaires, and wealthy corporations ahead of the needs of 315,100 constituents who live with a preexisting condition.
The initial ad buy of $250,000+ will run from July 2nd through July 16th in the Raleigh media market. The ad will air as North Carolinians face increased premium costs that are expected to rise by an additional $1,433 in 2019.
“Congressman Holding promised us lower costs for better care when he voted to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, but we’ve only seen higher premiums, making health care unaffordable for seniors, persons with disabilities, and 315,100 individuals with preexisting conditions,” said North Carolinians For A Fair Economy spokeswoman Paula Wolf. “George Holding must put his constituents before his loyalty to the GOP sabotage.”
